I was raised in a muslim household from the very beginning was told to follow islam. As time went on my mom made sure that I was recieving islamic education and forcing me to go to mosques at 12:00 am ( I was 13 at that time) all alone, if I had refused she would yell at me, so I had no choice but to go to mosques. I always had question that why are we following these rituals and what benefits do they have for me. Then there were these ridiculous stories from quran that we were told to put belief in whenever you questioned them they would get angry at you. You just cannot question. The reason I left Islam was because it considers women 2nd class citizen and promotes voilence. And as for god I don't see any evidence for him. I think there is a higher power but I don't know which one, maybe we have to look for more evidence.
