Born in WV. raised in South Fl. Talk about culture shock. Started working at 14, in agriculture, which was not for me. Spent most of my years as an auto mech. I was raised in a Southern Baptist community, and taught that there were many things that we were not intended to know. Being an inquisitive type, I just couldn't or wouldn't blindly follow. I believe that is the core of my skepticism of religion. I left the church when the elders kept insisting that too much knowledge was bad for you and that you must submit & never question authority. I once said to one of that authority that there were probably 1200 people that died on the Titanic that may disagree, which got my face appropriately slapped.
