I was born in southwest Missouri, but my parents moved to Wichita when I was seven. I graduated from West School, and later from WSU with a BA in French and English--double major, and still later an MA in English Literature. I taught both French and English at the school level for almost 30 years. I was married for 20 years, during which time I had two children, a boy and a girl. I have been divorced since 1979. I have several interests, among them are bridge and traveling. I bridge a couple times most weeks, and I have been to France 15 times, Africa 1 time, and I'm packing this week to go to Australia. I like to take my little dog for walks in my neighborhood. Actually, I probably wouldn't even have a dog if I didn't like to walk
I also like to cook, and I make bread on a fairly regular basis, sometimes baguettes, sometimes little braided rolls. Still another interest is reading. I always have a book in progress, usually fiction, but I'm presently reading one about Eleanor Roosevelt. I have probably been single too long to ever marry again, but I would love to meet a man for friendship. I have several good female friends, but it would be nice to have a masculine point of view from time to time.
