I moved around a lot as a kid. After growing up in Kentucky, a quick side trip south to Miami when I was 10, we moved to the Bay Area. It was there that I traded in my southern accent for a wider more liberal perspective. WIth one year left in high school we continued moving west, landing on the island of Oahu. I graduated from Kaiser High School in 1982 and surfed my way through my freshman year at the University of Hawaii. Loving adventures, I transfered to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks where I spent the next 2 years studying math, computer science, cross country skiing, and ice fog. To complete the trifecta I spent the next 4 years studying mathematics and computer science at California Polytechnic State University where I graduated magna cum laude with a BS in applied mathematics.
My work epoch began at Sun Microsystems. To be at the epicenter of the internet explosion for 17 years was exhilarating.
Some details...I am a software engineer and entrepreneur. I am currently building the web service for my second business. I enjoy all aspects of creating a viable business.
In the past year or so I have been eagerly consuming all of the Hitchens, Harris, and other freethinkers that I can find. I look forward to deepening my understanding on a variety of topics.
