Is it a 'Wonderful World' as suggested by Mr Armstrong or is this a Pollyanna view with a deceptive rhetoric which detracts from real issues in an attempt to hide them in the open?
We can view the world on many levels and I like to think about the magnificence of evolution. THAT is a wonderful world...literally so.
I think it depends on what conscious level a person is at. That was a different time, and Armstrong had a difficult life. He was greatly used and abused. He never complained. He just kept performing. Art is the transcendence of the Artist. The Artist is translating his/her spirit into the Art. Maybe Armstrong truly believed the world was wonderful. Maybe he wanted to believe. I will tell you this. He was a Great Human, a Great Talent. His Art was Pure.
And I think to myself....what a wonderful world!! My days go much better with that attitude.....but it is so easy I don't want everyone to know my secret...continue on with your negative attitude....lol.....jus kidding....let me get another cup of coffee.....actually I wasn't kidding...
It is a wonderful world if you embrace that idea! That outlook will get you through the darkest times, I promise!
It depends where you live, who you are, your life experience and your class. If you're rich you can live in paradise.
It can be a wonderful world - it can also be a horrible one at the same time. The hard part is to see it as it is, and not as we want it to be. But at the same time, if we don't see some beauty in the ugliness, we would go mad.
Being in association with an organic body will not always feel wonderful, especially if that is your sole identity. As viewed from a higher perspective, from consciousness itself, “wonderful” is way too mild of an adjective.
I think that it can be both...’a wonderful world’ and ‘hard’ all at the same time! But, one must get the ‘hang of it’...to appreciate that fact! When we are supported, through hardships, we began to take them on differently. If I was completely alone in my earthly struggles, I don’t believe I would have this outlook! I would surmise the ‘world’ was against me..,at least some unknown force!
It may be Pollyanna but I still like the sentiment.
