As an opinionated person I find it great that I can get my ideas out here and have an interesting cross section of people as a sounding board. I think it's actually helping me be present more in my, 'real life' conversations. Are you having a similar experience?

Note that this site is a very skewed section of society so the results of any poll wouldn't be a useful cross-section of society, but it is fun to ask & answer questions

Yes, the folks here seem to be open minded, sympathetic and encouraging. Any criticism is usually well thought out and offered in a positive manner, so we can hone our opinions for sharing outside the site, if any of these subjects come up. This site causes pauses for thought, for sure!

Can't say I have, quite a few folks on here who are intolerant to differing point of views. I still enjoy using this site though despite some of the trolling on here.

I did find the same...when I put ‘stuff,’ out there...I work harder at what I mean and want to say! And, I have noticed that when confronted, I mostly do not take it as a personal assault! All of my opinions need not be validated and I am still entitled to them...that is a step-up for me!
