A Catholic Priest, a Rabbi, and an Iman rent a meeting room at Holiday Inn for $30. Each cleric pays $10. A while later, the hotel manager realizes the clerics are due the religious discount so he gives a bellboy $5 and tells him to reimburse the clerics. The bellboy is dishonest and pockets $2 for himself and only gives $3 to the clerics. So each cleric only paid $9 for the meeting room. 3 times 9 =27 plus the $2 the bellboy pocketed = $29 What happened to the other dollar?

That's an old one. You've added where you should subtract. The hotel collected $25. The Bell boy collected $2. Add it up you get $27. Nothing is missing.

Yes...this one is about 50 years old.
