I find it pretty strange that a good majority of people are still "asleep" while our government keeps taking away rights and supressing the rights of people to vote. 150 years ago the list of thing free to do was pretty impressive. Now you are hard pressed to find anything to do that does not require some sort of government approval, IE license, permits, inspections, certifications ect.... A person cannot even go fishing without paying the government for a license to do so. Now it is becoming illegal to protest, or defend yourself against an attack, or in some states to even vote in some circumstances. The Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that its ok for states to Purge Voters. Basically denying them a right to vote. Even if there is no reason to do it. This kind of bullshit must come to an end. Mainers recently fought back against the state of Maine and won! They busted up the 2 party Duopoly and now they have Ranked Choice Voting. This allows for independants and third parties to have a chance to win. The voters voted in 2016 to adopt RCV but the state filed an appeal and got an injunction to hault its implementation. The voters vetoed the state by collection over 88k signatures and submitted it to the state supreme court. This is something all of us need to do in order to route out these corrupt, greedy politicians who stagnate the legislature and ignore their constituents.

It is reasonable to assume that someone who doesn't vote for 4 years plus doesn't answer an inquiry has moved or died. The Supreme Court got it right.

I have to say that I have no problem with professional license that insures competence and fishing license when the proceeds support our parks and nature areas. On the flip side, voter registration is a right nobody should deny. Being able to vote doesn't mean shit, though, when there's nobody to vote for. It is there where the sheeple are asleeple.

The ruling class owned media and the cultural hegemony keep us all asleep.

Agree with you 100%. Now, if we can just get folks to understand that they need to vote in EVERY election. I'm pretty sick of the repub gerrymandering down here in Texas, and am hopeful that the young people in this state will vote in the mid terms. We desperately need to cut the repubs back and win some seats for Dems and Independents! Pretty tired of living with dirty air, water, soil and the fact that repub men tell women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies here in the hell hole of the Country!!!!!

Thank Tom DeLay for our fucked up districts. The bastard should be strung up by his um... you know whatzits. Of course, he's only one of many.
