So, I spent the last 10 minutes in a discussion on what constitutes appropriate boobage, and in what context is it acceptable to put in our magazine. And these were drawn boobs. Yesterday, we were trying to figure out if hip cleavage needed to be less prominent with the side discussion being in the vein of, "When the fuck did we turn into Maxim?"

My job gets stranger and stranger everyday...

No such thing, all spectrum of boobage possibilities is always gladly welcome !!!! ( Ahh... Can't wait to see who is going to take the bait to accuse me of being a horrible human being who dare to objectify women with a silly cleavage comment when apparently today is ok to do the Samantha Bee or call Sarah Palin names) Crazy world..... ??????

Hey I'll take the bait 😀 😀....I couldn't resist the invitation! A little less or maybe no objectifying at all would be much appreciated from a female's point of view. 👍 But seriously what has boobage got to do with Samantha Bee and Sara ick Palin? I don't see the connection. FYI not looking for a fight, 😀 really I'm not I just truly don't get the connection.

@patchoullijulie ahhh no worries, I didn't take your comment as negativity by any means. The reason behind is a bit convoluted. I am saying someone may find my comment horrible against women and the same person may find ok cases like Samantha Bee. I don't understand the lack of standard. Hope this help and please, do not hesitate to keep the conversation flowing. Cheers !!!

@onlyduh gotcha.

@onlyduh, @IamNobody So are you talking about the word that Samantha Bee used?

@patchoullijulie I am, yes

@onlyduh I have hated it all my life. I have tried to accept it but never understood why men would use the word in a negative tone to describe a body part that they spend their whole lives trying to 'acquire'. But I recently found out that it actually has a second meaning which means something like annoying person or along those lines.

@onlyduh, @IamNobody ok gotcha I see the connection now. Brain is slow today. lol I love Samantha Bee but didn't like her using the word cunt to describe another woman no matter how insidious that other woman may be.

@onlyduh trying not to laugh but it is funny lol 😀

@patchoullijulie Actually cunt is used all over the world for the second meaning. In Britain and Australia, for example, it's quite common and not just for women. North Americans are a special kind of prude. I'm one, born in the USA and living in Canada for 35 years, and it still amazes me.

Do you mind if I ask what magazine you work for?

@onlyduh That's okay. I understand. My sister used to be a copy editor with several different magazines, so I was just wondering.

Appropriate Boobage? Where? Is there such a thing as too much? I thought it was all about the nipples, show as much boob as you like but so long as there is no nipple then no problem. Humans are weird little mammals. BTW - it is perfectly legal for men and women to walk around topless in my Province of Ontario, Canada.

@MrLizard I think he's just come up for air. Darn Russians, They Crazy!
