Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.As much as I dislike the Trumpster Fire, this is a case of a systemic problem, not just one of personality. The present immigration law was passed under and signed by Clinton, and subsequently enforced by hie as well as the last three Presidents. The first record I can find of children being separated was under Obama. If we do not want a Trump or worse doing these things, we can not simply rage against an individual, we must work to change the system - Congress, the law, and the Executive.

@jeshuey clearly states that in 2014, hordes of Unaccompanied minors showed up and were housed until their parents, already in the US, could be located. So much better than letting them just wander off, methinks.
Also SO Much different that pulling a child from it's parents arms!!! Any reason the family could not be housed as a unit, I cannot think of one other than vile horribleness!
@AnneWimsey You point does nothing to invalidate my position, that is to say the problem is systemic.
