Steve Deace: 'We separate children from their parents when we send them off to war, or imprison them. So while this is a nice talking point it’s a terrible argument.'
KatiePavlich: 'Children are separated every single day in America when parents commit crimes, face prosecution and detainment. Why is there an exception for illegal aliens who face consequences for their actions?'
The tweets from rightwing commentators attempting to justify and downplay the policy of taking babies, toddlers, and children from their families reminds me of the strained maneuvering of Holocaust deniers such as David Irving, whose website boasts this photograph and self-serving caption:
Photo: Thought-provoking picture from newly found Auschwitz album shows veteran prisoners (in striped uniforms) helping to muster new arrivals along the platform. Note: open main gate, no guns, basket of food.
Oddly enough, the photograph shows the separation of children (and others too weak to work) from their families...
What a STUNNING display of heartlessness, total lack of empathy, duplicity and displaced ''loyalty to der trumplegroper." And people in Kansas are agreeing with them? GLORY HALLELUJAH!
ALL, as we now know, to be stripped away in just a few hours....lampshades made from human skin, anyone?
