‘It’s A Human Right’: Mexican Presidential Candidate On Mass Exodus To America

"Mexican presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) called for mass immigration to the United States during a speech Tuesday declaring it a “human right” for all North Americans."

“And soon, very soon — after the victory of our movement — we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.”

López Obrador is a populist and I doubt very much he will win.

Mass immigration to USA is as ridiculous as to say "God is real". Ridiculous and ignorant.

López Obrador says what he knows people want to hear.

Well, he must not like his freedom too much. To start detrimental feelings like that. Would think he is being served with arrest warrants soon. That is a form of treason to tell your countries population to flee.

@DUCHESSA I know many Mexicans I can tell you how most of them would translate something like this and it would not be in favor of the commentator. They will take more like the people that did not vote for him that they better hide or leave.

@azzow2 I don't think I understand you clearly. Are you saying that LO will be in danger?

@DUCHESSA Think in the eyes of many of the Mexican people it will look to them more like a threat and that the Mexican government will take it that way. I would say unless that guy has El Chapo`s money and thugs backing him he will end up campaigning from a Mexican Jail.

@azzow2 I hope he doesn't win; Latin-america doesn't need another populist.
