My friend, that I've been VERY good to, lost her shit with me the other day over a coke. We play around a lot in the office so when I found a coke in the fridge I grabbed it and sed I was gonna drink it. She sed no... you better not. I proceeded to open it slowly and ultimately drink from it. She got insanely hostile about it, in front of other coworkers who couldn't believe what was happening. I'm very pissed about it because I cannot believe she would be willing to trash a good friendship over a goddamn coke. Tell me I'm crazy?
Plus, I’ll add, we only have your side of this story.
I really hate being teased, or treated in a passive-aggressive manner. I’ve lost my shit on a 14-year friendship and did the doorslam on that one. (Over what seemed minor on the surface, but was the result of years of passive-aggressive behavior).
I’m a person who thinks ‘pranks’ and ‘practical jokes’ are cruel, and not funny.
I would ask you, what was your motivation in taking the coke, and in teasing your friend, then disregarding her wishes by drinking it anyway?
IMHO, that’s more torture than ‘just fun’. But that’s me. I’m a HSP and shit like that drives me nuts. Not funny.
Maybe she needed the caffeine? (Not!)
I personally Hate it when people mess with my stuff. I hate it even more when they proceed after being told not to. Very passive-aggressive of you, IMO. I dumped a 40+ year friendship over this kind of stuff, and do not miss her At All.
IMO you need to abjectly apologize and layoff the "not funny at all" stuff....becuz it ain't funny!
