Hello all This is my first post. I've only just joined and I think this will be my favourite category, as I'm a published music composer and author. So, do we have anyone here who enjoys epic, orchestral, hybrid music? ^_^
I'll listen to anything and love to learn about new music types. You got some links? And yes, welcome to the monkey house. B-)
@Aedolyn Wow, I listened to all the ones you posted here, you are very talented. Are you working with an orchestra and choir, or are there some synthesized portions, or both? And this reminds me, I'm backed up two episodes of Westworld. Thanks for showing your stuff, it's really impressive! B-)
Welcome to the site, Renaissance Woman. =] There are people here with widely ranging musical tastes, and other musicians too. Sadly, I'm not a musician. I'd love to hear samples of your work.
I'm not sure what the combination is, specifically, but I love all the components, so I'm sure I'll love the whole, as well. ?
I am always open to the new.
@Aedolyn I'm loving this. Thank you.
Welcome to the crowd of the godless. I am loving it here myself. Post some of your music.
As with most things in life I am open minded to most all things, music included! I don't really enjoy hardcore heavy metal though, it just feels stressful and music should feel good and or inspiring!
@Aedolyn sure!!! I'd love to check it out
Surely such a gift as yours could only have come from a wondrous and loving GOD!
Pffft! Nah! This is entirely the result of a lifetime of work developing your talent and it shows. Your music is epic and beautiful.
Being a gamer all my life i have recently been exposed to the explosion in Video game music. Youtube is full of it. Some of the best are from the Zelda series and have been played to packed audiences. This is the future.
An interesting if difficult career choice. Much respect to you
I love movie type music (Vangelis' score from the Bladerunner movie, Cliff Martinez' score from Solaris ect). My friend used to write scores for Channel 4 documentaries so I ended up getting exposed to loads of music I'd never have heard otherwise. I like all kinds of but I tend to search for obscure stuff. I do like orchestral but only if it's not too busy. I heard some stuff last week based on algorithms which was pretty cool. I'm not a music snob but I do know what I like.
Yes, mashing has taken leaps and created a great new variant. My daughter loves it. I'm still digging the oldest possible cover bands aka orchestral.
