Here in Harrisburg, capital of Pennsylvania about 800 people gathered to protest current laws on immigration. As we marched to the Governor's Mansion we passed the Holocaust Memorial along the river. I saw this as perfectly fitting with this protest of our country's current policies. I hope that somehow all of these things get us out of any bubble we may have been in. The hate right now is palpable.
Way to go!! I attended the protest in DC. A very good turnout.
I am going to ask Staples or Office Max if they could have a rally/protest department so we can go build our signs there. LOL. I have a feeling it is going to be happening a lot. This is probably my 6th in 2 years. The heat index was brutal! My grandson is adopted from Guatemala so this one was very special to me.
Proud of you, Amelie! ?
Thanks. I protested with my daughter in DC at the Women's Rally in January 2016. I protested with my grandson in Philadelphia for the students rally for gun legislation. This one I did here in my hometown because we cannot be a country who once again commits crimes against humanity
Thank you for doing your part. Ever since the horrendous inauguration of 2017 and the madness that ensued thereafter, I found myself becoming an activist as well. I believe we are making a difference.
@jujuofthesea I have to believe that we are. What are we leaving to future generations? There is a Native American belief that you must think of up to 7 generations that follow you as to what you are doing. I like that thought a lot
Some People don't really understand unless it's them in another country. Then they have time to listen....and get mad when others dont. Mecico is understanding now where our heart is.
