OMG! I met someone!!
I was at a neighborhood coffee place this morning. I saw him last weekend at same place. He was was having coffee and reading the paper. Im at my table reading my phone. He says something. I respond. Next thing you know he's at my table and we're having a great conversation! And we have so much in common! Same age, both still work, both work in government, both do training, both single (he's widowed), both live in same neighborhood, both live along same major roadway, both love history! He and I will be having dinner this week!
I can only think of one thing to do
I liked vid and sing! Not really lightening strike though. But it's nice being asked out. Just doesn't happen much anymore. Friends if nothing else. And I'm good with that.
See,opportunity happens when you least expect it,good for you!

If a friendship slowly developes,be aware on possible controlling situations.Yes,it's possible to find the "One" for you,but take it slow,no rush. He's a Widower, and has suffered a loss like I have,so his hurt may be deep,it never quite goes away, the wound, covered by a thin scab, easily torn away....
@Louise1920 ty. He's been windowed for 16 years. Yes, I'll not be rushing, but stuff like this just doesn't happen to me. Just so unexpected.
@LilAtheistLady For me,it's been 10 months,I'm going to wait a full year before looking,we had 27 years together married,26 great ones before Kathy's(my late wife) cancer diagnosis . gone in 13 months.
@Louise1920 Sorry for your loss. Cancer sucks. His wife died of breast cancer 4 months after her diagnosis. She sounded like a lovely woman. He sounded like he truly loved her. She was young; only in her 40s. I'm sorry for what you must be going through.
@LilAtheistLady It's something we all will face at some point in our lives, the stroke, heart attack, car crash, or cancer,Mother Father,Sister,Brother,I'm not as weepy now as earlier.a slow reduction, there are support groups, but I'm doing it alone,we never had kids and I never married until 43.
Congrats on your new friend. Be careful.
Ty. I will.
