Unfortunately yes. It appears tha humans are not as evolved or advanced as their technology, and sinply don't get along or pay well with others and require supervision.

Any time you want to drive somewhere, call a cop, put out a fire, sit on a park bench, take someone to court, or point out to your neighbor they're not all that neighborly...you might find it necessary.

Of course it is. There may be bad things about it, but it would be horrible chaos without it.

I believe that government is responsible to reign in capitalism and to provide the basic necessities for life such as clean water, shelter, and healthcare.

I believe this too, but it is not happening. As a gun enthusiast I really would like to get Donald Trump interested in shooting and then arrange for him to go hunting with Dick Cheney.

Sure, it is a necessary evil. Without it there would be chaos.
