Waiting for my daughter to finish her college placement test… ?. She’s a 10th grader taking a dual enrollment class. This IS SILLY.
Then three 12 hour shifts at the hospital in a row.

Your daughter sounds like she is very smart and will do well in life. 3 12 hour shifts?! That's a lot. I know people are needed at hospitals.
I'm just enjoying a day off from work and staying out of the heat. I'm ready for fall. Not much planned for the day.
I hope your shifts go by quickly and that nothing major happens. Also, I wish your daughter a great and productive school year. Both of you have fun, or at least try too.
@Captain747ex oh yes. There is a lot of try when you are the parent of a 14 yr old girl. Lol.
Good idea staying out of the heat. Where do you work?

@BeccaVa I can only imagine what it would be like raising a teenage daughter. I work at AvFuel in Ann Arbor. They supply Aviation fuels to airports. I work in contract fuel which authorizes fuel on credit.

Retired I ask, "what's work". For my usual fun I will be cleaning the chicken coop, the dog kennel. Then I will be filling the bird feeders. Replenish the bird bath. Harvest a bit of cannabis. Water the plants. Cut down some invasive saplings. Mow the path thru the prairie. Then retire inside as the heat will get me. Nice cold lemonade.

Well you certainly have a day planned for yourself. Sounds like fun. Sounds like you have a farm out there. A nice glass of cold lemonade does sound good. Have fun and stay cool.
I’m retired, so no going out to work for me! Usual Monday, laundry etc. It is now teatime here and I am enjoying a G & T before dinner, and browsing these posts!

I'm looking forward to retirement. I have several years to go. Assuming that retirement is still a thing when I reach that point of time. What is a G&T? Have fun.
@Captain747ex A G&T is a Gin And Tonic....my pre dinner tipple of choice! Retirement will come soon enough, just enjoy whatever you do at this moment in time.
@Marionville Ah, I should have known it was a Gin and Tonic. Yeah, time keeps rolling on. It seems like it is moving faster and faster sometimes.
