Peter Sellers is the top of my list here too, but for his playing 3 unrelated, unrecognizable starring roles in Dr Strangelove or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb. When you can play all 3 of the funniest characters in the movie and share scenes with yourself n no one would know it without looking up the credits, you win.
