Religion started with early mans attempt to understand himself and his surroundings. Its deeply rooted in many cultures even today, and they believe their religious teachings.

People decide to control others and take all their money, have access to their women, so they come up with religions that give them that power. Then their "gods" can also command them to attack other people and take their lands.
