I just saw at least half dozen bats hunting in my backyard.
Sorry, its too dark for pictures. These are cool. I feel like they are helping me by cleaning up.

Love em. Had a pond I’d float in a boat watching the bats take turns skimming the surface beside me for drinks. I’d occasionally hear their lowest frequency chatter. They’ll work the streetlights of a town, too. Yes, highly beneficial, but seemingly still unappreciated…

My neighbor has one of the old remaining elms in Omaha. There are quite a few bats that live in it and I see them all the time at dusk. Amazing creatures. I have hearing loss from running a rock tumblr in the laundry next to home office when the kids were little. (Kidding about the hearing loss but damn it was loud!!)

...I’d put my rock tumbler on my dad’s workbench in the basement ..now he can attribute any hearing loss to me
