I too think suicide is the ultimate "eff you" to those left behind.
Get out & get some counseling (plenty of free out there!), go to a new coffeeshop, cut/dye/shave your hair....make all the changes you can, for no other reason than you can.
At the risk of appearing insensitive, I've long felt that suicide is the most selfish act one can make, and that, in a world where billions subsist in extreme poverty and don't even have running water, much less a computer on which to post comments, anyone claiming that life sucks simply lacks perspective.
@MARDUK My apologies for reading too much into your post. On a planet of 7 billion hearts and minds, it would seem unlikely that there exists no one who could help you, even if only to remind you 'how love felt.' Peace.
Not helpful. Or accurate. Stigmatizing suicidal ideation as “selfish” only makes people less likely to seek help.
@A2Jennifer I understand your concern, and have had some personal experience in this subject. But please note the distinction between a single act and a quality of being. Speaking generally, just as a selfish person can perform an act of generosity, an unselfish person may commit a selfish act.
Back out, or away from it ...slowly.. Make secret plans to escape; don’t bother with death, you’re here - get some mileage for all the suffering! Expect little from others.. they’ve the same fears, and often nothing to give. You’re stronger than you feel. Those with the strongest of emotions can achieve both the highest and lowest … seek middle ground.. Perhaps such an apparently boring life that the smallest of things becomes inspirational(!).
Life wasn’t made for us.. but we’re a part of it, find your niche and play your part
