I have never had to testify in a courtroom.....but you put your hand on a bible and that is instant truth serum, really? the court uses the bible as leverage to keep people honest. All my life I have seen that over and over on TV and movies and it makes me laugh

Very few if any courtrooms even have babbles in them anymore...you are watching a lot of movies from the 50's, obviously....
