Lightbringer

Embracing the blasphemous
Baphomet
The goat headed deitiy
basterdization of Mohamed
and in that basterdized embrace of the unholy
we find a salvation
within spiritual nihilism
redemption
in rejection
peace in the knowledge
that there is no god
soul
or heaven
that when this life ends
new life can grow
in it’s place
that when this life ends
we don’t have to live it again
and for a new life to begin
death must win
mortality
cyclical beauty
no such thing as sin
just momentum
freedom
and choice
Baphomet looks on
as children look up in wonder

The Goat headed gawd is a Satanist symbol, nothing to do with Muslims or Islam, you fool!

Perhaps you should research before writing so that you don't look the fool when calling someone else one.
Religions scholars pretty near universally have concluded that Baphomet comes from a bastardization of
Mohammed. The origin of the name Baphomet comes from the knights Templar who while under torture made false confessions of worshipping an idol named Baphomet. There is no record of any such deity by that name preceeding that. the knights had been in areas that were Muslim controlled. At this point Baphomet was only a name with no depiction or historical roots.
The depiction of the goat headed hermaphroditic Baphomet wasn't created until centuries later when Levi first drew the now iconic symbol which eventually became the symbol of Satanism.

@PolyComrade having minored in Early Middle Eastern religions in college, I would be Very interested in what scholarly conclusions you are referring to...........
Inc8dentally, a direct ancestor of mine, but Sir Ralph Coggeshall, wrote (he could write!) down his
first-hand experiences during his particular Crusade which is still used by scholars today...so I do know a bit about that, too.

@PolyComrade, @Donotbelieve Hee hee, i think we should get a 2-headed avatar together on here.....fun!

This is my poetry, the first thing that I have written in about 2 years now. So how about if you don't like it, don't fucking comment on it. If you don't like something as subjective as poetry or art, it perhaps it's just not your taste, or maybe you just don't get it. There's a fuck ton of music for example that I can't stand that is popular enough to have radio play and sold out concepts; I am not arogant enough to think just because I dislike something it must be shit.

@PolyComrade. Poetry, like any form of expression, can easily be used to spread misinformation ,foment racism, and hatred. It is incumbent upon everyone nowasays to stay alert for crap like that and call it out as it appears.......try to write something with Truth in it, whydoncha? And that BS about Mohammed = Baphomet? Really?
And if you do not want comments, do not put it out on a public forum......just a thought!

@AnneWimsey why don't you look it up. Hell even just look on Wikipedia, it's not hard. This isn't misinformation, you are the misinformed one and yet you seem so sure of yourself that you don't bother to do basic research. Seriously even just look up Baphomet on Wikipedia. Use your brain instead of your ego for once

@PolyComrade Nowhere in Any of the sites on wiki & elsewhere, was "baphomet" equated with "mohammed". Never happened! I will ask again, what is your source?
You are going all abusive because I have called you out on attempting to sneak racism/religious hatred into your "poem". Too bad, so sad......

@AnneWimsey from Wikipedia.

Modern scholars such as Peter Partner and Malcolm Barber agree that the name of Baphomet was an Old French corruption of the name Muhammad, with the interpretation being that some of the Templars, through their long military occupation of the Outremer, had begun incorporating Islamic ideas into their belief system, and that this was seen and documented by the Inquisitors as heresy.[26]

Also from Wikipedia under alternative etymologies

While modern scholars and the Oxford English Dictionary[32] state that the origin of the name Baphomet was a probable Old French version of "Mahomet",[16][26] alternative etymologies have also been proposed.

The article goes on to explain a few less commonly believed possible etymologies.

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension instead of insulting people and calling them abusive and racist while patting yourself on the back for calling them out.
