Sometimes, especially if I'm feeling down, I feel like everyone else is having a better time and living a better life than me -- more engaged, more active, meeting up with each other and doing all sorts of fun, exciting, and interesting things... I have to remind myself that many times what I'm seeing is a happy facade, that everyone struggles, and you don't have to have all the bells and whistles in place in order to be happy.
Everybody gets feelings like that....the thing to do when you get them is get a latte & a pedicure!
I'll have the latte; pedicure may be too painful until my feet get better!
@bleurowz oh, right, sorry...okay, new haircut & color! I went spiky and red after hubby left....like magic for my feelings!
I tell myself the same thing. Then I think about all that I have to be thankful for and realize that am not in as bad a place as I think and that things are getting better.
Sounds like you are longing for adventure. What is holding you back?
If it makes you feel any better, I’ve been in bed since 9pm yesterday trying to get rid of a nearly week long migraine. LOL
No one has a great life 100% of the time. Try to focus on all the cool interesting things you have done. Make a list of the ones you haven’t but want to. And start working that list!

I am, but no worries. Health and finances hold me back right now; those are priority, but will eventually be managed better.
@bleurowz all my adventures are close to home for financial reasons. I’m not trying to minimize your feelings but I do think you could empower yourself to get out there other than feeling you are missing out.
Do you live near hiking trails? Have you looked at local meet ups? Perhaps take a class with local parks and recreation?
I’d love to take a class on spoon carving. I need to take a class on cooking. LOL
. Don’t give up!
When I was a child I had a friend with a paraplegic mom. She took us camping, drove and even swam. She of course wasn’t able to walk and had limited use of her arms. I think her hands were contracted
She had a career as a successful marriage counselor.
Amazing lady!!
