Scary, scary stuff. 10 years ago, I wouldn't have believed a time traveler summarizing this "proud" year in our democracy of immigrant camps, muslim bans and hate marches endorsed by a racist president. I would have summarily dismissed their "false facts" and explained that we are a rich melting pot of shared experiences and a body would never cut off its own parts...History will teach us nothing.
