Yesterday, September 8, 2018 was a very special day for me and Dan. The main event of the day was a Pow Wow/Meeting of the Tribes at Brown's Farm in beautiful East Greenbush, NY. The air was filled with sounds of constant ceremonial drumming, fluting and American Indian tribal music. There were male and female dancers in multi-colored costumes dancing individually and in couples to the constant beats of the drums, whirling and winding around an arena with spectators like us sitting on hay bales. Many native vendors displayed their wares in tents tempting with everything from children's toys, books, and American Indian attire.
2nd part of the day we found a Sushi Restaurant where we feasted on sashimi and chicken hitbachi toasting with blue hawaiin rum punch and white Zinfidel.
Dan had another surprise for me. We went on a quest to find me a ring. Now my birthday is this Thursday, September 13th and I have been dreading it due to its significance but Dan bought me a beautiful silver blue sapphire ring which is my birthstone. An attachment ring he said. Well if we weren't already we are now officially attached.
I guess that is how it is done. Congratulations.
Sounds like an awesome day. Thank you for sharing the photos!
Gotta keep my wonderful girl smiling. Thursday on her birthday we hope to go to Lake George for a dinner cruise.
Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you both.
