I have never been to a site that has a point reward system. I find this to be a great idea. This is how you tell who is really serious. I think this weeds out the spammers and trolls a little because unless they are actually trying they can't even view most profiles. Does anyone know how long it takes to get to level ten generally?
No, I don't know how long it would take to conquer level 10. Let's put things in perspective....level 8 took some work to get there and there are several that have reached that goal. The jump from 8 to 9 serms feasible and yet, I don't think I've seen anybody level 9 yet. As for level 10, it's from practical purposes impossible.
To my knowledge no one on here has made it to level 10 yet. Level 8 took me barely a month to reach. Welcome to the site.
I do like the point system as well. It does makes sense and probably does prevent many spammers and trolls from doing anything. I really enjoy this site.
I've backed off a bit, but I still plan to make it before 2020!!! LOL
Level ten? . .Think that only takes one lifetime.
Levels are not linear.
Level 6 doesn't take to long but seven takes a while. Eight? Longer then zero to seven.
Sadly, I have run across a few level 7 trolls on these pages.
Apparently, it’s working fairly well.. and I’m glad it’s working for you. Though, some appear obsessed with ‘points.’ Seems apparent when they’ve posted 5 or 6 ‘links’ in a row ... with little to no intro or commentary. Nearly a year here, I’m doing it the hard way.. And, even ‘a nine’ seems unachievable … and that’s not a challenge, folks
Level 9 is not 'unachievable'! There are three of us with another three (or four) dang close! Granted, I think we're all 'old timers', here since 2017, but it certainly can be done!
Hi, Kyro, and welcome to the website!
I'm demisexual myself and see myself as nonbinary "other." I dunno how long it would take, but I'm only at 8.3 and I've been here for a few months.
By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it.
For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them.
You gain website points by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you.
Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.
If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match.
Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others with similar interests..
In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also.
Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page or at [agnostic.com].
