Why do ppl think that the phrase " I am a person of faith" is something to be proud of? What they r really saying is " I am a person who pretends to know what I don't know" and this is nothing to be proud of.

They are also saying "I allow others to think for me, and I blindly follow their claims, no matter how untruthful they may be."

I am a person of faith in myself and my ability to cope with life, no imaginary friends needed.

it's odd, but they will use it as a compliment too. "i can tell you're a spiritual person" or "i can tell you're a person of faith." well, they aren't very perceptive, because neither is true, and i don't feel flattered by the so-called compliment!

I’ve always seen it as frustrating when folks have to tell me they are xtian or born again. Like it is suppose to give them some additional credibility.
