There used to be a neighbor lady a couple of blocks from us who was nice enough, and had an annual yard party for people from the surrounding blocks. But, despite being married to a prominent retired college professor (archaeologist I think), she was into astrology. Dang it, was mid-response and got distracted at work and lost the response. I think it depends upon what they're opposite in. I tend to be a follower in regular life and submissive in bed, so I very much prefer a take-charge man.

Obviously you have to have some shared interests, but I also think it's important to have things you do outside each other.
