The one thing we all have in common is that we don't buy into organized religion, however, is there something that you DO believe in or something you practice?
(I believe and practice Feng Shui)
I'm a big Boy Scout, went through the program from Cub Scout to Scout Leader and can't find anything wrong with the actual core philosophy but do take issue with the religious overtones and the pedophiles. Basically, do your best, help others whenever you can and be a decent person.
I also believe in integrity and it's something you either have or you don't, if you don't then you're basically the problem with this world.
Meditation and other Asian practices such as Feng Shui which call for a peaceful and happy surrounding.
Meditation, Buddhism.
@Redcupcoffee Traditional Buddhism in the east, more likely. But in the west, no. I follow Pema Chodron and Sharon Salzburg. The practices have made a big impact on my life for the better.
@Redcupcoffee I believe only the parts that I agree with as I do with everything. I look at history and how women had been treated then, we can update certain changes that occurred due to the times. There are parts of everything that can be believed which parts are believed is up to you.
@Redcupcoffee Let me add that all religious philosophies were sexist and misogynistic in the times they were brought forward, we have developed to a point that we can question those beliefs now.
Personally? No. Actually, sometimes I wonder if I would pitfall into depression if I didn’t have hobbies because of such a bleak outlook on reality. I mean essentially I believe I must eat, poop, sleep, reproduce, and die. In no particular order. That’s quite depressing. Luckily I have a need for speed to keep my heart going.
I believe in electrons, but l have never seen one.
@PraiseXenu As I understand it, quantum gravity theory has it that particles exist only as interactions within or between fields, and are not “things”. Of course that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I’ve never seen a particle of beauty but I sometimes experience beauty indirectly. It exists as a mental phenomenon.
It boils down to the meaning of “exist”.
I believe that they move me quite nicely.

I believe in empirical evidence, peer-reviewed everything, and the scientific method.
I am wary of belief. If belief is defined as accepting with no supporting evidence, it amounts to magical thinking which is what religion is based up on. So I'll go with, "No, not on purpose.".
I practice Roman Stoicism and believe in it strongly.
So many questions... why roman stoicism? How does this point of view change gow you live your life? How did you come to the conclusion this was the way you wish to live?... I would truely like to know if you woyld be willing to share.
@Donna_I I've studied philosophy for well over 10 years. I came upon Stoicism later on in my studies. It has all but illiminated my anxiety. You should look up some you tube videos on it.
I am a professional hypnotherapist i did stage shows in spain now i

I've never ate Feng Shui. No, wait. I have this wrong. I do play the harmonica.
@Redcupcoffee LOL. Yes but I don't play it as much as I used to. I can do the John Lennon harmonica part in "love Me Do."
I practice making babies, but only practice
@Redcupcoffee I only like to practice
I think that Matt says it the best; "I want to believe in as many True things, and as few False things as possible." -Matt Dilahunty
I don't think that religion {the belief in a god} needs to be 'organized' to be a detriment to society and the family structure.
I like to spend time meditating. I believe in energy work and would like to interested how it works better.
