I'm restless for no good reason. Every once in a while, life just seems like something is missing...

You ever get this way?

Since 2016 ? At least part of every day .

It's when my closets get their cleanest... ?

When I feel that way, I know it’s time to look at the things I’m doing and evaluate if I need to make any changes.

I've been dealing with that type of emotion on a daily basis for over a decade.

Only once in a while...lucky you.

Coffee. Usually missing coffee.

There is a good reason but you just haven't discerned what it is yet.

All the time.

I've been a lifelong ADHD boy. You're describing my waking state.

If you feel something is missing in your life all you need is.....JESUS. Lol!!

Yes. Just ride it out and do what feels right for you.

It happened to me big-time earlier this year. I was restless and, frankly, a little depressed. So I've been outlining goals (personal, professional) to move toward a more contented state. In a more short-term sense, going on a day trip, landing a date, and/or booking an acting gig would be awesome too. I could use a little adventure. What do you think you need?

@pepperjones That's great! Creative activity's always good. Plus, I think sometimes we just have to try something new, or do something we like a little bit differently. 🙂

I have dogs. They all love me. I'm missing nothing important at all!!

Feeling that way now and have been for over a year.
I have felt this way before this stint, most of my teen years and for short periods off and on through my 20’s.
I usually have to change something big in my life, move to a new city, change careers, then it goes away for a while...
in the past I have been lucky and life hase presented opertunaties for me at times when I needed them, all I needed to do was jump.
I have been looking and listening for the change I need to make but nothing yet, I may need to take a more active role in this.
You’re definetly not alone

Sometimes I get that feeling; then I lay down until it passes.

I know the feeling. I'm like some of those characters in "The Wizard of Oz." These days I don't even like who is behind the curtain.

You obviously need god in your life...... 🙂

I think we all get restless now and again. Sometimes we are brave enough to push our boundaries and chase our dreams, and sometimes we stay put and take the safe option.

As Renickuluos says, it's your subconscious telling you it wants to do something, listen a little harder - he said it far better than I could.

Yes, every day when I get up,and until I go to sleep.

1

Yes, it happens to me every now and then. It feels like something us missing in my life but I can't put my finger on what it is. I'm happy at my job and, over all, in my life, but it feels like something just isn't complete.

Restless or feeling empty? Feeling empty is something psychologist have hear in their practices from patients for many decades. And with patients I mean normal people who have some feelings they like to talk to a professional about - not people who have a mental disorder. If you're restless I'd say it's a healthy thing that you want something to happen. I believe our minds are now so evolved that the pace of life is much too slow for it - perhaps that's what's going on.

@pepperjones OK. Restless as in you want to do something or more like feeling uneasy?

1

It’s a permanent state for me.

Yes!

???????... The bus didn't stop today?????

I get that occasionally, it means that it's time for a change usually!

Yes.
