I guess this is an old person's rant, but why is the news not available in written form instead of links to legitimate and non legitimate outlets? I wanted to hear it, I'd watch TV (which of course I do understand has legitimacy problems, too.). Years ago when the internet was just beginning I had a student refer to the legitimacy problem online as the www.bob phenomenon. I just wish I could find written text online. Rant over.

When online, I'd rather read it too, partially so I could skim through it to see if there is any new information I'm interested in, but also because I need to find my earbuds to listen to hear the audio.

oh and it's available in print online too. you may have to pay for some of it. others, not. but be careful. don't believe everything you read. (and again i ask, what makes you think news is not available online in print?)

in what way is it not available in written form? believe it or not, there are a whole lot of newspapers in print in the united states and i am guessing in other countries too. subscribe to one or more and you'll have your news in print.
