Most creationists do not believe in evolution and natural selection. They would rather believe that there is a purposeful selection of chosen individuals to achieve exaltation and it is always their race or religion that is chosen.

one of the main purposes of religion is to reinforce the concept of us vs. them. if everyone has a common enemy, whoever is in control can keep that control by stoking the fear of the "them." that's why my religion is right and yours is wrong! oh wait, i don't have one. oops.
