Belize, Mexico, Roatan, Grand Cayman, Jamaica via a cruise ship
The first cruise I saw and climbed mayan ruins 3 out of 4 ports and will probably do so again
On the second cruise we rented vehicles and geo cached. The inland side of Cozumel is wild and beautiful but no sandy beaches so almost no people were there.
I want to go back to the above but my bucket list is Europe. Any country. All the country's LOL
I have been to both Mexico and Canada multiple times. However, I have never been off the continent and I would like to do that. Since I am largely of German descent, I would like to visit there. I would also like to visit Australia, both to witness the night sky in the Southern Hemisphere and to experience some of the strange wildlife there in its natural habitat.
I have lived in Germany and Japan (Okinawa) courtesy of the US military. I have visited Mexico, Canada, England, France, Wales, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Haiti, and the Bahamas. I've also been in Puerto Rico, which is part of the US but so far away.

Within the U.S. or outside it (some states seem like other countries - and not in a good way).
I have been to most W. European countries and love all of them. A visit with my brother and his Vietnamese wife to Viet Nam was scary, fun, amazing and crazy. We were not part of a tour group and saw and did things most tourist don't. It was a very enlightening trip (we got to Saigon on Dec. 25th and it was 93 degrees and it just got crazier from there). We put on a power point presentation at our library. The room was filled and we held no punches; showed both good, bad and frightening (like family graves in the middle of rice fields).
I have visited the Dominican Republic. I would like to visit Hawaii and Italy. Maybe France.
I been in the US. Thats it. Lame.
But when I watch Anthony Bourdain's show I want to go everywhere and eat everything. That would be my number one reason to travel; FOOD!
Let's just say I had lived... I had been around... 20 years in the Navy on the East Coast... numerous port visits and 4 overseas assignments... documented here already where I had lived... now... I will like to dance a Tango in Buenos Aires with an Argentinian. A Son with a Cuban in Havana. Very Attainable goals. After all I wrote a song... "I won't die without a dance in havana". Only recorded the spanish version.
