Do only humans have a soul? What is a soul? Would you ever trade yours for anything?
When someone can actually define what a soul is supposed to be, then I may be able to tell you.
I have yet to hear a definition that doesn't include the term spirit (which also needs defining) or any description that does not include something supernatural.
As it stands from what many try to explain, then I don't believe that even humans have a soul. So yes, I'd be happy to trade my non-existent soul for a new motorbike.
Who or what is it that is βhavingβ all these souls? It would make more sense to say that soul-stuff is observing and supervising an organic body of some sort for awhile.
Soul is a religious myth so they can claim control of you for all eternity. It is IMO pretty rude to come on here and post a seemingly interesting question that then requires me to believe in a soul in order to discuss the topic....
Soul is just another name for spirit, personality, intelligence, mind, etc. So yes, humans have a mind. Trade my mind for something else, no.
soul have sometimes been defined as spirit; i have never seen it defined as mind.

I don't think there is such a thing as a soul. I reckon our consciousness is inseparable from its biological seat. The level to which other animals share our mental abilities is an area of constant research.
I like the old Biblical idea of the soul. It comes from the Hebrew word nephesh. It mean the complete person, both physical and mental components together. That understanding of soul was in use until recently - for example, 200 souls were lost in the shipwreck.
Great questions, but I can't answer any of them. I seem to be stuck mainly on the second one, & the one you didn't ask--Do souls exist?
Looking forward to hearing others' comments
There is more to heaven and earth... lol
