Many I knew who lived up here (ND) traveled to Florida for the winter season.

Not on your life, that might avoid the hurricanes, but the only thing between there and the north pole is a barbed wire fence.

Spent about a month in Florida (three different trips) and many decades in the Dakotas.

I prefer the Dakotas but most I know who have experienced both prefer Florida.
