I am certain that many Trump supporters are nice people. But that does not obviate their moral responsibility in supporting the racist, xenophobic and misogynistic policies of Trump administration because they had their own other selfish reasons to support him. The terms like "nice" and "racist" are not mutually exclusive. One can be a "nice" person AND knowingly or unknowingly support racist policies, or other types of evil in the world.

And just because one has a Ph.D., doesn't necessarily make one wise, or intelligent.
