Thankfully I voted last week because yesterday was moving day and I had to leave early this morning to make sure I got to work on time.

@Donotbelieve I came down here a year ago to get back on my feet (and other reasons I'd rather only discuss privately) and so I've been staying with my sister. That however, came with an expiration date and as it turns out, moving somewhere with a higher cost of living than, and the same stagnant wages as the place you left is a BAD idea (who knew?).
So I'm currently renting a room while I plot my escape from this backward town.

BTW, I voted in Hall County, GA (I recently moved from there, didn't have time to change my addy), which is a Bible-Thumpin', Deep Rural Red county. So of course I had to wear my Reason Rally Volunteer shirt. It made some people uncomfortable; that made me happy

I almost wore this shirt, but thought it might give them an excuse to me out, so I didn't.

The Reason Rally is a huge rally held in DC on the mall every four years. All of the luminaries in the godless movement are there. The first one had something like 20K people, the last one had about 16K.

I was living in DC during the last one, and was a volunteer. It was an amazing experience.

@Donotbelieve - I'll keep you in the loop. If they do it again, it will be in 2020 - and given how things have been going for us under this shitty administration, I imagine a) they'll do it again, because it's needed, and b) it'll be fucking PACKED - there are a lot of angry heathens out there right now, present company included.

In fact, if/when it is held we should discuss how we can have a "presence" there as members of this community. Even if it's an informal dinner or something, I'd love to meet everyone IRL!
