What is the sexiest song you have ever heard? You aren't limited to rock... But you can tell I am ...
Joe Cocker's "You can keep your hat on" as done by me at karaoke....yes indeedy!
Where is the video!!
@maxhyde come take one! I ad lib too...."but no black socks...too much like a 60's porn movie" and ETC. One time a guy kicked off one shoe at me! Lol!
@AnneWimsey Ha! The Showstopper!
@maxhyde yup!...i am Such a drama queen...oh, I I can actually sing, too (a "belter" )
I can't believe no one though of this one.
Which is good because I get the cred for it.lol
Anyway, one of my favorite songs.
Great song! So many choices- so little time!
Duran Duran - Love Voodoo
Good - Duran Duran deserves a shout out. That's a track I've never heard.
@graceylou Off the top of my head I would have come up with "Come Undone" or "Rio" without having a list of other options in front of me...I haven't seen them in concert... I'm guessing they would be great... When the lead singer has a strong voice, hearing them live usually isn't a disaster...
Duran Duran - Come Undone, is a good song as well.
@SleeplessInTexas For sure. I know it very well. One of my favourite songs.
Classy.. Made famous by the pottery scene in "Ghost."
@UrsiMajor This is one of the 'slow' songs that would get played at dances when I was in high school. I loved this song way before the movie re-popularized it.
Scorpions - Animal Magnetism
Also covered by Robert Plants band:
The Honey drippers.
Sea of Love
Heather Masse - Bathtub
You fill me up like a bathtub
You swallow my body as the bubbles come up
You're like a cup of chocolate stuff
You're dark and deep and just sweet enough
You've got what I love
Slide your soap down my spine
Up my legs into my mind
I've been thinking bout you baby
For such a long time
Pour your water on my honey
Wash my body with your wine
All I want is to be with you all the time
You fill me up like a bathtub
You swallow my body as the bubbles come up
You're like a cup of chocolate stuff
You're dark and deep and just sweet enough
You've got what I love
Who needs to order an old school bathtub now.? To provide support to the walk-in shower?
Billy Joel did a great cover of this but I think the original with Cohens deep voice is still the best
The Crystal Method - Falling Hard
Hybrid - Disappear Here
Madonna - I Want You
Massive Attack - Angel
Hooverphonic - Eden
Garbage - #1 Crush
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
Doro Pesch - Love Me In Black
Zircon - Memory
FM-84 - Goodbye
The Rasmus - Save Me Once Again
Richard Marx - Angelia
The Crystal Method - Falling Hard
Someone broke out Mazzy Star and Garbage- you guys don't disappoint... Madonna deserves a nod for sure... I'm not familiar with any of your other picks but that's going to have to change...
I was going to say The Crystal Method sounds a lot like Mazzy Star had an update on her psychedelic background music -- then they brought in the techno feedback in the end. Only the Jesus and Mary Chain' s feedback survives the test of time. And posting a J and M song is on my to do list if nobody beats me to it.
You Look Like Rain by Morphine.
I Want You by Holly Cole. Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing by Chris Isaak.
Saw Holly Cole years ago. “Don’t smoke in bed” is one of my faves. She has a very sexy voice
"Wet dream" by lords of acid
Interesting people remember the Lords of Acid. Techno wasn't just a blip on the radar..
I like "Rough Sex" from Lords of Acid.
Feelin' Love by Paula Cole. This song's lyrics whisper sexy to me.
"YES!!!" As they say in The Voice. You made me google the year on that... 1996- amazed I don't know the song ot the artist. Maybe my next post will be find me some new amazing music I don't know... But thanks for that one...
Paula has a great voice. She toured with Peter Gabriel before.
How about Exile in “I want to kiss you all over”.
I know that song. Never knew who sang it... Learned something... Sounds one-hit-wonderish.. But I've been wrong before...
Phil Phillips and the Twilight's
Sea of Love
Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey
Is that technically country? That's as good as country gets. His voice reminds me of Nathaniel Rateliff's. Wow.
Miracles by Jefferson Starship...there is a line in the song that just....mmmmmmmmmm
Didn't they also do "The White Rabbit" or am I confused?
@UrsiMajor They did...but that was Jefferson Airplane with Grace Slick singing...Miracles is sung by Marty Balin...this song always puts me in the mood...
