6
Only the last line matters. The two previous lines are meaningless as they are not connected to the actual equation. You solve the multiplication first, then it becomes 3+3.
So what do I win??
@KenChang I agree, the first two lines are just essentially decoration or decoys. perform multiplication first: 3 X 0 = 0, then add the remaining 3s, so I get 6 as well.
@HippieChick58 That's why I love math. There is ALWAYS the right answer.
@HippieChick58 The problem is that even then there are people who would disagree!
@KenChang there is always a right answer, but depending on a number of factors it could vary, ie, quantum physics.
Are you a mathematician? I enjoy math and science, albeit my main degree for teaching is in English. I can argue language is binary. Anyway, why I ask: my son has his PHD in mathematics in the study of automorphic intergers. Few people, and I fully admit I have little understanding, know much about them. Even had math teachers go home and look the field up.
@Beowulfsfriend I am not a mathematician. You are probably right about the right answer "varying" in higher math. How about this then, there is a higher probability that there is a right answer in math?
@Beowulfsfriend Or that there is ALWAYS a right answer in arithmetic?
Triangle. Uhm... blue? Oo, I know, Buenos Aires!
3+3+3+3+33+3+3+3+33+3x0+3 =
12+33+9+33+3 =
90
OK, that's a different take to consider. But usually, going to the next line implies a break.
thinking outside the box...excellent...
36 - multiplication takes precedence, 3 x 0 = 0, otherwise you're adding up 3 twelve times.
@HardBlues69.who gives out a test and doesn't have the answer sheet!!!!? argh! you are wrong, in my calculation...ha ha
@HardBlues69 Wrong! The answer is 6. 3 x 0 = 0 which cancels itself out. So it becomes 3 + 3.
Butterfly! Sloth! Pussy-cat! I have mild dyscalculia, so I'm excused from this particular assignment. By me. I excuse myself.
What is the answer?
Dyscalculic high five!
What do the four exclamation marks mean?
Factorial
@indirect76 I thought it was the OP orgasming to his question
The whole thing is broken and confusing. First, there are no operators between each line. So I’ll assume addition.
Second, 3x is ambiguous because x could mean an unknown value or a multiply operator. I’ll assume it’s an operator.
Given the order of operations, you multiply first (3x0), then add all the 3s.
So 36
I would assume line-wrap, not addition, making each number at line-wrap 33. So... 90.
@bingst yeah that works too. It’s just an incoherent mess. “90% fail” because of shortcomings of the question.
There's no connecting operator between the lines, so it's a nonsense equation. Sorry.
