Our choices growing up was mincemeat or pumpkin. I would always choose mincemeat. Now, I kinda like mango peach pie from a local pie baker here. Truth be told this year, as in many recent years, I won't have anything traditional for Thanksgiving. On my own, I can have anything I please.
Thanks!
raspberrie pie is my favorite.
I never had that before.
I like apple, but around here, people like pecan pie, which I cannot eat.
I usually make a pumpkin cheesecake instead of pie. This way, I get what
I like.
Used to love lemon meringue ice box pie with graham cracker crust. Mom used to make it. The recipe is on the label of Eagle Brand Milk. After she passed, I discovered that "Edwards" makes a passable frozen pie that's almost as good. Better than I could make. Very rich tasting. Only seem to like it during the holidays.
Everyone loves my Pear-Upside Down Gingerbread Cake from "Cooking Light." Fresh ginger is in the pears and gingerbread.
A command performance, I make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Last year, my daughter Claire requested Pear-Upside Down Gingerbread Cake for her birthday cake.
Pear is one of my favorites.
I make pecan pie (molasses, not corn syrup) with spiced rum.
Oh, Yum!
Recipe, please?
If people actually want it, you can message me and I'll send it!
