I went out to grab Thanksgiving groceries today and of course there were so many people out. Everyone was rushing about and seemed very stressed. However, I was cool as a cucumber. Anyone else cool yo?
I am contributing a vegan side dish to my daughter's Thanksgiving meal. I needed a few groceries and my preferred grocery store is close to my gym. So after my gym visit I made a quick stop. I can't say I was cool, though it was pretty cold outside. But I was in and out and on my way pretty quickly. I kept my coat zipped up so hopefully my sweat was not pungent.
I am the sole chef for the holiday meal and I couldn't be happier. Nobody scrapping for space on my burners or halting my flow. It will be done and it will be done right. Then, I rest on my laurels and let others wash those dishes!
i got a ride to the store this afternoon and it was a bit crowded but everyone was nice, polite, laughingm moving their carts over so others could get by, really friendly -- except this ONE woman who was ahead of me in line. i don't know whether i drove my cart into her butt or whether she backed up into my cart but i assumed the former and apologized, and she just gave me the nastiest look, as if she thought i did it on purpose.

I'm always cool in the face of crazy shoppers. I'm not one for the tension. I'm not willing to murder someone for a $2 sale on chop meat or milk.
My first real job was at a grocery store, busiest in the chain. Arrived for a dreaded pre-holiday shift to find crime scene tape around the meat dept - and blood! Two women had gone at each other over a ham.. Fortunately, this was ‘pre-concealed carry.’ Christ-mass music for months … those braindead bell-ringers.. We hated ‘the holy days’
@Varn It's crazy.
I was just out cuz it was a magnificent day! Drove into a grocery store whose lot I couldn’t see from the street - Mayhem! Like a cool cucumber ..I navigated to the nearest exit.. and split … eventually driving the ice ravaged blue ridge parkway home, just me and what’s left of it’s trees..
