Yup. Twins actually. Both he and his twin sister are albino. Knew them from high school. And they're of English and Italian descent. They both married "normies". I don't know if they passed their albanism to their children.

I was curious so I did a little bit of research. The answer is yes. It can occur in all races. I also read horrifying facts about what some people do to other human beings that have albinism in other countries. Atrocious isn't a strong enough word... my oldest son had a friend that had albinism. His dad was white and his mom was Asian.

Indeed - people with albinism face shocking prejudice and are at great risk of physical abuse and murder in many parts of the world. Even here in the west they're regularly subjecting to intimidating behavior, from being stared at to name-calling and physical violence.

@Jnei The world just got uglier for me. I am in shock! Murder and torture?!?! I read that certain body parts of albinistic people are believed to transmit magical powers. Horrific things like this is why we need facts and science instead of beliefs.

@Cherish There have been several articles in some of the better British newspapers over the last few years on the subject. Even young children are killed and dismembered.

Yes, white people can have albinism, as can all colours and races; however, it's more common among some African ethnic groups.

I went to college with an albino woman named Claire.
