I do it myself, though not as adept as our friend here.But I put in my 'woulda' 'shoulda' 'wadya know?' It is an attempt to be more friendly,, plus it amuses me. Hopefully meaning isn't lost. But there are plenty of people out there that respond to casual talk as if it is an asset. Usually when we give a speech, we put our formal form of address; not so with your president. Trump proclaims whatever pops into his mind in exactly the same manner as if he was chatting to the bloke at the next urinal.
