Whats this place coming to. There has been five incidents of stabbing and one murder in a week and a half. This once quiet costal town has went to shit
Rats in a box..? I watched a series in England about guys repossessing houses, shocking! What I took away was their increase in poor immigrants, and far more congested & competitive conditions than any ‘Britcoms’ had depicted..
@darien75 Seems there were 3 seasons. What, if anything got old, was the very apparent suffering.. An act beyond the capabilities of non actors. The constant if changing locations depicted both congestion and squalor I’d not have expected in the UK. A rising crime rate amid those conditions would not surprise me, nor the thinking of those having supported Brexit with regard to unlimited immigration.
More evidence that it is not guns that are the problem.
@darien75 I am interested in knowing what changed in recent decades to cause violence to seemingly increase. Especially when data shows that we are living in the least violent time in human history. Seems to me that there might possibly be some sort of propaganda at play here. Propaganda possibly aimed at making it easier for governments to strip more freedoms and gain greater control under the guise of "security".
@darien75 I don't think they're capable or united enough to pull something like that off. I think it's far more likely the media is being used to manipulate public opinion. It's classic Machiavelli. It also fits better with Occam's razor.
@darien75 My experience and knowledge of human behavior tends to support the idea that human beings are too self-centered and greedy to form strong, time-tested alliances for the truly mutual benefit of multiple parties. Especially when such parties have such widely different political, economic, and even religious ideologies and goals. Not to mention cultural, racial, and language differences.
If any one entity exercises almost complete control, it would be the national banking systems. Those fuckers control the money, so it doesn't really matter who is "elected".
@darien75 Quite a bit. I was a financial institutions consultant, performed financial audits for banks, and worked in financial institution compliance for over 8 years. I also studied money, banking, and capital markets for 8 years at both the undergrad and graduate level at two of the better universities in the U.S. My entire professional and educational background is in finance and accounting, including a fair amount of time devoted to the banking sector.
@darien75 Not the kind of thing they teach in school, either in history or finance classes. And also not exactly the kind of thing that is highlighted, emphasized, or discussed outside of academia or closed doors in the government or banking industry. But anyone who works at the level of banking I have for very long would be foolish not to be aware of the influence and concentration of power in the central banking systems. They would be equally as foolish to suppose that governments are not largely controlled by central banks - unofficially.
Nevertheless, central banks are not nearly as unified as one might think. They are not all commonly owned. And their measure of control is limited. If they ever pushed too far, governments would nationalize them. It has been done before.
@darien75 I would have to ask for proof of such a claim. I have certainly seen no evidence to suggest the magnitude nor strength of such a hypothesis. In fact I would have to agree with the maxim of Turgot who attributed Pope Julius III as saying “You would be surprised if you knew with how little expense of understanding the world is ruled.” And that was back when the Church clearly held power even above monarchies (and especially banks). Not much has changed about human nature in the last 500 years, either.
@darien75 I think there is little to nothing for them to gain from the central banking systems trying to weave hidden agendas into everything. Too much effort and not nearly enough identifiable return on investment. It's simply not worth their time. They are already raking in trillions, making people think we are living in less violent times would do absolutely nothing to serve their interests or further their profits, as with many other conspiracy theories attributed to them.
The whole bleeding world is going to shit homie.
