Try blank verse.

Write about that feeling.

Go for a long walk, there is a neurological connection between the exercise of walking and the creative sections of our brains which are stimulated by it. And when you walk something interesting turns up anyway. Last time I got caught by heavy rain half way through, but a farmer stopped his truck and gave me a lift. He was such an interesting person, I had enough material for a novel by the time he dropped me off.

William Stafford recommended that you just sit in front of the keyboard every day and start typing whatever comes to mind. After a while something will happen. And read a lot of poetry,

Stafford was excellent. I met Creely in Japan in 79. A chance meeting. And one of my old profs, when being honored herself, introduced me to Alice Walker. What a highlight, to stand on stage with such an icon. My students, whom I had taken to the speech, ceremony, teased me later about my shit eating grin. In 83, I obtained Denise Levertov's phone number, but i never had the courage, or moxy, or desire to interfere, so I never called it.

I would embrace the emptiness and slowly fill it with words. Any words. They don't have to be perfect or even make sense. They just slowly take over the void.
Until it starts to flow.
But, that's just me. Hopefully, you find something that works for you.

Hello Mr Hungry, sorry you are feeling blurgh. Have you tried free writing? Just sit with a pen and paper (or laptop) and just write.
Its amazing what comes out. Its often easier if you meditate and try some mindfulness first. (Good mindfulness sites online). Hope it works, let us know how you get on.

Tomorrow is another day, maybe not so empty.
