I simply don't trust them. Or maybe the job has so many perks they'll go where ever the best bet is.

I must have read that as 'convert' the first time.
Once a registered Republican, I left before the purge.. Many followed, as there was no longer room for moderation. I’ve often wondered how long those who stayed could take it.
Now, if these two are changing their party affiliation while in office - I’d give them an open-arms welcome! If it’s only a threat, hummmm… I suspect with the national deconstruction of the current presidency ..any second the R’s will begin diving overboard … this may be the first indication..
