They're both good, but it depends on various factors: what you're eating, what the weather's like and what's on a "3 for £/$10" special offer.

I like a good rosé.

I prefer white, but I get a headache right away. I enjoy red wine with dinner
but do it so rarely because I dine alone so couldn't name one.

Red sweet wine.. nothing like it.. but my fave is chocolate infused red wine.. omg.. to die for.. tell you what.. keep that stuff away from me on a day thats not going good.. I would drink that entire bottle in one sitting no prob.

Heavy, hearty foods like red meat demand a bold red. Lighter fare like fish or pasta, I like white, which I also like to sip through the evening. A Chardonnay having gone through secondary lactic fermentation is lovely - has sort of a buttery flavour that I like.

Red. My favorite is Il Bastardo, a grocery store Sangiovese.

Red - merlot - specifically. I am not a big fan of wine, it can give me a headache and not the hang over type.

Mix it up and expand your horizons..
Go to a couple of wine tastings and wineries.
It's fun , educational, and wine people tend to be a pretty nice group.
Wineries usually have some pretty nice musical entertainment too.

As a former wine salesman I can honestly say, Neither is better than the other. It is pure preference.
If you like a $100 bottle of wine drink that, if you like a $5 bottle thats fine too.
As a rule, wine should be paired with food. We as Americans do a bad job of this, usually just drinking it to be drinking it. Think white wine for white food. (pork, chicken, pastas with cream sauce)
Reds for "meaty" foods. Steak, pasta with red sauces, duck, game animals)
But again, whatever is best to you is best.

White 'line?' How many have you had?

White lines. Definitely, white lines.

They are both good with different foods and ondifferent occasions. For general consumption, I prefer white.

Zinfandel - so neither!

Pink is best! I know that makes me a peasant - but dry wine gives me a raging migraine.

For me red wine,sauvinon or merlo,I do not like white wine,too sour.

Don't know if it's just misspelled on your post, but I'll take the "white line" every time and no I'm not referring to wine.

Red. Dry reds like Chianti. Pairs well with fava beans.

It's largely a matter of taste. I enjoy strong, harsh flavors, like peaty scotches and spicy food. Dry red wines fall into that category and even the milder stuff is good for a bold palate. White wines are much smoother.

It is personal preference, but I really like our local micro-brews. Not a wine drinker. Lol.
