So, I recently realized that tomorrow will be my 20th anniversary of quitting smoking! I can't believe it!
25 years for me... I haven't done the math for a bit... lets see... $5 a pack. 2.5 packs a day is $12.50/day, or ... I have saved $114,000. Additionally, I am still alive. Not bad for an old fool, eh?
I quit over fourteen years ago and still want one every now and then. Do you still have the desire for a smoke? By the way congratulations.
i quit with the assistence of a hypnotherapist. never felt a craving ever since.
@walklightly I see you are from down under. I made it to Brisbane when I was in the U.S. Navy.
A friend told me that every time I felt like having a smoke to count to 10 and the urge would go away. He was right.
@Eirteacher, if it works, don't change it.
Congratulations! Your family no doubt thanks you for choosing to live longer!
That’s awesome - congrats! I hit 14 years this month.
Congrats to you too!
Good on you! I just completed 6 years without the smokes a month ago. I feel very much liberated.
@orange_girl, what with? a ciggie? a spliff? internally only, letting my lungs flap happily
@orange_girl, now there's a thought!
Brilliant, just over 13 years for me
I often buy myself treats like 2 royal clown loaches that cost £160 though I got them cheaper.
I'm envious.
I've actually quit myself, twice. The last time for 2 1/2 years. I remember how very much better I felt and am pretty close to putting forth this effort again.
